Jessica Bowser, LMT
Tell us a little about yourself (ex: Where did you grow up? Where did you go to school? What brought you to LC?)
I grew up in Parks, LA and attended school there until Junior High, where I then attended school in Breaux Bridge, LA until 12th grade. Out of high school I attended Delta Career College for certified Nursing Assistant. Then I went back to school in 2007. 20 years later after graduating high school and attended University of Arkansas in Little Rock. I moved to LC for a massage therapy job at the Golden Nugget Spa.
How long have you been with PIPT?
I have been with PIPT for about a month now.
What drew you to physical therapy?
I have always been drawn to PT work since 2003 when I worked for a Physical Therapy clinic in Little Rock, AR while attending massage school in 2003.
What’s your favorite part of the job?
My favorite part of the job is being able to help patients on the path to living.
What do you do for fun (ex: hobbies; crafts; volunteer; coach; watch football etc)?
I volunteer at our church on Sundays for community events. I also volunteer with Heart of Hospice to sit with patients when needed. I also enjoy doing other fun things like going to the movies, bowling, playing golf and mini golf, hiking when able to, snorkeling, sight-seeing, camping and other outdoor activities, and any type of crafts.
Anything exciting on the horizon/ or just happened (ex: just completed a fellowship; taking a trip; training for a marathon; applying to PT school; got a new dog, etc)?
I just married in September 2018 to my 2nd and final husband. We planning to buy our own house this year, and looking forward to what is on the horizon for 2019 and beyond with my career in PT.
